Hi friends! It`s Maggie! We`re halfway through the year, so I pulled out my 2026 vision board to see how things are going. Here`s what I`m taking with me into the second half of the year:
Something I`m proud of: Prioritizing my health.
This year, I`ve spent a lot of time listening to my body instead of pushing through what it was trying to tell me. I`ve sought out specialists, asked questions, advocated for myself, and started making changes that help me feel more like myself again.
Something I`m still working on: Expanding my understanding of experiences different from my own.
One of my goals this year was to read more books by and about people whose lives look very different from mine. I`m seeking out stories written by women of color, and stories featuring characters from different racial, cultural, and LGBTQIA+ communities.
Something I`ve changed my mind about: What it means to be feminine.
At the start of the year, I wrote down that I wanted to spend more time in my "feminine energy." At the time, I thought that meant being softer, quieter, more delicate. Instead, I`ve discovered that for me, femininity is intuitive, protective, fierce, cyclical, creative, and wild.
Something I`m excited for: Finding new ways to move my body that feel fun and authentic to this season of life.
For a long time, movement felt connected to what I thought I should be doing. Now, I`m more interested in finding activities that bring me joy and help me feel strong.
I`d love to know one thing you`re taking with you into the second half of the year!

One of our favorite parts of working with mission-driven organizations is learning from the way they approach complex community challenges.
As we recognize Disability Pride Month, we`re reflecting on a conversation that often doesn`t get enough attention: the connection between accessibility and health.
Many of the factors that shape health happen outside of a doctor`s office. Housing, transportation, employment opportunities, community infrastructure, and social connection all play a role in a person`s ability to thrive.
For people with disabilities, barriers in these systems can have a significant impact on health and well-being.
That`s one reason we appreciate the work our client, Anchorum, is doing across Northern New Mexico.
@anchorumhealthfoundation is focused on improving health across Northern New Mexico by addressing the underlying conditions that shape it because healthier communities are built through systems, environments, and opportunities that work for more people.
Accessibility strengthens communities. Inclusion supports well-being. When communities are designed to support people with different needs and abilities, everyone benefits.

Hey friends, Sheila here! One of the biggest lessons I`ve learned lately is that change can be a good thing, even when it`s hard.
Since COVID, my husband has worked primarily from home. For the last five years, we`ve had the gift of being together for so many of the little moments that make up life with a young child. Lunch breaks with family. Quick check-ins during the day. Watching our daughter grow up from just a few rooms away.
Recently, he accepted a new job that will have him working on-site and while we`re excited for this new opportunity, I`d be lying if I said it doesn`t feel like a big change for our family.
As a mom, it`s easy to focus on what will be different, but I`m trying to focus on what we`re grateful for too. Five years of extra time together is something I`ll never take for granted.
This season may look different, but that`s okay. Growth often comes with change, and sometimes the next chapter starts with letting go of what was comfortable. For now, I`m holding both gratitude for what we`ve had and excitement for what`s ahead. 💛
What`s a change you`ve experienced recently that ended up teaching you something valuable?

July is Disability Pride Month, making it a great time to talk about something that should be part of every marketing strategy year-round: accessibility.
One of the biggest shifts we`ve seen in digital marketing is that accessibility is becoming part of the conversation around content quality, user experience, and audience engagement. Platforms continue to expand accessibility features, organizations are paying closer attention to digital inclusion, and audiences increasingly expect content to be usable by everyone.
For nonprofits and purpose-driven organizations, accessibility isn`t separate from your mission. It`s part of how you connect with your community.
A few simple places to start:
• Add alt text to images
• Review your video captions for accuracy
• Use clear, readable graphics
• Check your color contrast
• Write with clarity, not jargon
Small changes can make a meaningful difference in who can access your content and engage with your message.
How is your organization thinking about accessibility in its digital marketing efforts?

If you`ve ever planted a garden, you know one thing is true: Nothing grows alone. 🌻
Flowers need pollinators. Gardens need healthy ecosystems. Growth happens when everything works together. Partnerships work the same way.
